This is Riaz Ali from Pakistan. I was fortunate enough to get the award of TWAS fellowship. Currently, I am contributing to China’s Science and Technology development as a Ph.D. candidate at the Chinese Academy of Science.
To work in a highly competitive and research-oriented environment. I would like to extend my research knowledge in the field of climate change. My major is in the field of data mining in meteorology. I am particularly focusing on the quantitatively forecast of rainfall-induced by landfalling and offshore tropical cyclones. The motive behind my research is to avoid deadly and destructive disasters while predicting the widespread heavy rainfall and severe flooding induced by tropical cyclones. My broader interests include a wide range of topics, including spatiotemporal characteristics of TC-induced rainfall, climate change, and data science.
